When my spirit is broken, I bring it to you.
This song is a token, for all you can do.
Some call you God, or Buddha,
Or Spirit in the Sky.
But the names are all the same
When you consider the reason why,
We call your name...
When my body is broken, I lay before you.
Though you make my knees tremble, you can heal them, too.
Some go to Church, or Temple,
or climb a mountain high.
Anywhere we pause for prayer
Is holy in your eyes.
We seek you there...
When my body has mended, I give thanks to you.
To my spirit you tended, and saw me through.
Some read the Koran,
Others read the Tao Te Ching.
The basic aim is all the same,
It's the reason why we sing
And call your name...
