1) How would these songs raise money?
2) Why are the MP3s hosted at washingtonpost.com??
3) What charities will this benefit?
4) How can I get a CD with these songs on them?
5) Where are the lyrics to these songs?
6) How can I help "In Honor and Memory"?
7) I had problems downloading the songs. What should I do?

If these songs ever lead to a publishing or recording contract,
this would generate royalty fees for each copy distributed.
Also, if I can sell CDs with the songs on them myself to people
(email me at cd@scottymo.com
if you are interested in buying a CD when it is released), that would
be a more direct way to raise money with them. Any profits gained
from contracts or CD sales would be distributed in the following percentage
to charities:
- Profits from Defect in Humanity - 100 %
- Profits from We Call Your Name - 50 %
- Profits from Incomplete Song - 50 %

Two reasons--I have limited downloads allowed by my
www.scottymo.com host per month, and the Washington
Post MP3 site keeps track of the number of downloads
for each song. Having a third-party site keep track of
the number of downloads gives that number more credibility
if I ever seek a recording or publishing contract.
If I get enough downloads to top the weekly charts (it would
only take 200 downloads or so!) at www.washingtonpost.com,
that would be icing on the cake!

I would prefer to donate money to smaller charities
that are devoted to specific ways we are healing from the
tragedy, rather than a general charity, or a large bureaucratic
one. I intend to pick the charities with the following guidelines:
- "Defect In Humanity" profits would go to a charity that
specifically dedicated to a families directly affected
by Sept 11th.
- "We Call Your Name" profits would go to a charity that
promotes cross-cultural understanding and cooperation among
diverse cultures of the world. One of the results of the Sept
11th aftermath that I fear most is a a deepening of a cultural
divide between people sharing this planet.
- "Incomplete Song" profits would go to a charity that
specifically helps people who were widowed or lost a
"significant other" in the tragedy.
Feel free to email suggestions to me!
